Video Snippets (clips)

Capture the most critical parts of your process as video clips in your Guidde.

Updated over a month ago

Overview

Guidde's Automated Video Snippet functionality records dynamic motion on your screen in real-time while you perform a step-by-step capture. This feature allows you to seamlessly integrate crucial parts of your process as video clips into your guide, ensuring comprehensive and engaging documentation.

Supported browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge
Available on: all plans

Automatic clips

When you complete the capture and click Done to generate a guide, each guide will automatically include a brief Introduction video clip, up to 5 seconds long.

Example of an automatic Introduction clip:

πŸ“Œ When using Automated Video Snippet, only the current tab is recorded. If you switch to another tab, the recording will stop.

πŸ“Œ If you initiate a capture with a keyboard shortcut or via the web app (rather than via Guidde browser extension), it may not work correctly due to permission issues.

Another type of activity that will generate an automatic snippet is Typing. This allows you to demonstrate form filling, search queries, interactive tutorials, and message composition.
