Updated over 2 weeks ago

Add Intro or Cover steps

At the start of your Guidde. Click the step on the right side of the steps navigation bar at the bottom. Choose an Intro for an animated step or a Cover for a static image.

Add a Step Anywhere in Your Guidde

Click to mark the step after which you want to insert a new one, and click the '+ Add Step' button on the bottom right of your video editor.

Step Types You Can Add:

  • Blank: You can add a blank guidde step, and add background, images, text boxes or elements, to customize any page as you wish.

  • Image: Add an image as its own step in your guidde. You can paste from the clipboard, drag and drop directly into the step, or upload a file from your device to create a visual step.

  • Video: Add an MP4 file as a step in your guidde. You can choose how it’s added:

    • Keep the original audio: The video is added as a single step, with an automatic transcription.

    • Split into chapters: Break the video into multiple steps while keeping the original audio and an automatic transcription. (Available on Business and Enterprise plans.)

    • Dub with an AI voice: Replace the original audio with an AI-generated voiceover and split the video into steps. (Available on Business and Enterprise plans.)

    • Click Continue when you've made your selection to insert the video step.

  • Import from Guidde: Quickly add steps from another guidde to your video, saving time and keeping content consistent.

  • PPTX: Turn your PPTX slides into guidde steps by adding them as a step.
PDF: Convert PDF pages into video steps by adding them into your guidde.

  • Insert captured clip: When you capture a Guidde, clicks are captured as static steps in your video, while the original recording remains available in the backround. These clips can be added to your guidde to show motion or context.

Note: The captured clip feature relies on the original recording, it does not record new actions or create steps beyond the original recording.

Pro Tip: Missed a step in your process? Want to add a step that wasn't originally captured? No worries!

  • During recording: You can pause the recording, resume it, complete the missing action, then rearrange the steps in your guidde as needed.

  • After recording: Create a separate step-by-step guidde for the missing part, then use Add Step → Import from Guidde to include it in your original guidde.
