When you record a video with Guidde, your clicks are captured as static steps in your step-by-step guidde, while the original video remains available. You can insert video clips to show actions like scrolling, navigating, or finding an item.

Automatic Captured Video Clips

As you move through your process, actions like scrolling, typing, and navigating across your screen are captured in the background. You can easily add a captured video clip (snippet) to your guidde as a video step. This allows you to professionally demonstrate form filling, search queries, interactive tutorials, and message composition.

How to insert a captured clip

To insert a clip manually, open your video editor and follow the steps below.

1. Click "Add step" at the bottom tight of the video timeline.

Click 'Add step'


2. Select "Insert captured clip" in the opened menu.

3. Drag the video timing bar to trim the clip. You can see a preview as you go.

4. Click "Save" to save the captured video clip.

Click 'SAVE VIDEO'


5. A captured video step will be added to your guidde.

Notes:

  • The feature may not be available if there were network issues while capturing the original video.

  • When using Automated Captured Clips, only the current tab is recorded. If you switch to another tab, the video recording in the backround will stop.

  • To ensure this feature works properly, start the capture using the extension button rather than keyboard shortcuts.

  • Adding a captured clip uses video segments from the original recording. It does not create or record an additional step outside of your original demonstratin.
