Guidde's Insights

Guidde Insights gives administrators and content managers a clear view of video performance, viewer engagement, and key metrics, helping you understand how your guiddes reach and engage viewers.

Visible to: Admins and Content Managers only.

On the Business Plan insights is available for up to 3 months back.

On the Enterprise Plan insights is available for up to 6 months back.

Insights includes three tabs:

  1. Content Insights: shows metrics like total views, unique viewers, and average watch time for your guiddes.

  2. User Insights lets you see how individual users engage with content, allowing you to track their activity, and uncover patterns to support and manage your team effectively. Click here to skip ahead to Users Insights.

  3. Activity Feed: Shows key actions in your workspace, including who viewed a video (and how much) and when new videos are created, helping you track updates and engagement at a glance. Click here to skip ahead to Activity Feed.

Content Insights

1. Access Insights. You can open Insights in two ways:

  • From anywhere in the Guidde app, click Insights in the left-side panel. (Note: This panel isn’t visible while editing a video)

  • From your homepage, open a video’s three-dot menu (top-right of the video) and select Insights to view its analytics.

2. Select the desired date range in the top right corner. You can filter by:

  • Last Week

  • Last Month

  • Last 3 months

  • Last 6 months (on the Enterprise plan)

  • Custom date range (up to 3 months on the Business plan & up to 6 months on the Enterprise plan)

  • Set a specific date range using the calendar icon, then click Submit once ready.

3. You can view the entire workspace Insights, or filter by channel or source to view to a specific channel or source (such as broadcast - on the Enterprise plan).

4. You can also search for a specific guidde or playlist using the search bar.

Line Graphs Over Time

5. On the Insights page, you’ll find key metrics.

  • Total Views shows the total number of guidde views over the selected time period for your workspace or channel.

  • Unique Viewers displays the number of individual viewers who watched the guiddes.

  • Average Watch Time shows the average time that videos have been watched.

  • Average % Watched shows how much of a video is watched on average.

6. The upper line graph shows the overall viewer engagement, with:

  • Video Loads

  • Total Views

  • Unique Viewers

On the upper right of this graph, you can select or deselect any of these categories to customize your report for multiple metrics simultaneously or focus on a specific KPI.

  • Note: A Load is counted each time the video interface page is opened.
    A View is only recorded if the video is played for 5 seconds or longer. Therefore, not every video load counts as a view.

7. If you hover over the line graph with your cursor, you'll see a detailed breakdown of the metrics - video loads, total views, and unique viewers - for any specific day.

8. Below the upper graph, two additional graphs display Average % Watched and Average Watch Time across your published content.

9. Scroll down to see the top five performing guiddes in your workspace and their total views. And, the top five creators and the number of guiddes they’ve made.

Insights Table View

10. You can switch to Table View by clicking the table icon on the upper right.

  • In Table View, you can see all metrics in a neat, scrollable table, including the video creator. Click the arrow next to any metric to sort the table in ascending or descending order.

11. Return to Graph View by clicking the graph icon.

Export Data as CSV

12. Export a CSV file by clicking the export icon at the top right of the table to download the data.

View Insights for a Single Guidde

1. To view detailed metrics for a specific guidde, click its title from either the graph or table view.

2. Or, use the search bar at the top to find a specific guidde or playlist.

3. A guidde’s Insights shows how many times it was watched, by how many viewers, and for how long, similar to the workspace Insights page.

4. Scroll down to see all users who watched the guidde, including their name, email, and the last date they viewed it.

5. You can search for a user in the search bar on the upper right to see if a specific user watched a guidde.

6. And, you can export this data as a CSV file by clicking the export CSV button on the top right of the viewers list.

Note: Insights data may reflect a processing delay of up to 24 hours.
For the most recent activity, check the Activity Feed.

That’s it! With Content Insights, you can see how your guiddes are performing, understand viewer engagement, and use the data to make smarter, impactful decisions.

User Insights

User Insights gives you full visibility into user engagement across your workspace. You can track who’s creating and watching guiddes, how much of each video was viewed and by whom, and how your team interacts with content over time.

Access Users Insights

1. From your Guidde app, click the Insights section on the left-side panel.

2. In the Insights page you’ll see two tabs at the top: Content Insights and Users Insights on the right. Click Users Insights to view user activity across your workspace.

3. In the Users tab, you’ll find all users associated with your workspace, along with:

  • Their name and email address.

  • Their total views

  • The number of guiddes they've watched

  • The number of guiddes they've created

Note: A View is only recorded if the video is played for 5 seconds or longer.

4. You can set a time range and filter by:

  • Last Week

  • Last Month

  • Last 3 months

  • Last 6 months (on the Enterprise plan)

  • Custom date range (up to 3 months on the Business plan & up to 6 months on the Enterprise plan)

5. To set a specific date range, click the calendar icon, select your dates, and click Submit once ready.

View Metrics for a Specific User

6. To quickly find a user, type in their name in the search bar on the upper right.

7. Or, from the users table, click a user’s name to explore their detailed insights.

8. In the selected user’s insights, you’ll find two sections: Guiddes they’ve created at the top, and guiddes they’ve viewed below.

  • Under guiddes created by the user, you’ll see the video name and cover image, creation date, number of unique viewers, and total views.

  • Under Guiddes Viewed, you can see which guiddes a user has watched, how much of each video they’ve viewed, when it was last accessed, and the guidde’s source - whether it was viewed in-app, embedded, or via Broadcast.

9. To export user data, click the Export CSV icon at the top right of the User Insights page. You can export data:

  • For the entire workspace

  • For a selected user

  • A specific guidde

  • When downloading a selected user’s Insights, two files will be generated: One for created guiddes and one for viewed guiddes. Both files will be saved to your Downloads folder.

10. To find user insights for a specific guidde, type in the guidde’s name in the search bar on the top right.

11. Or click any guidde’s title to open its insights and see its performance over time.

12. Scroll down to see all users who watched the guidde and when, giving you clear visibility into user interactions with your content.

13. To download this data, click the Export CSV button on the top right of the table.

Activity Feed

The Activity Feed gives you a timeline of how users interact with your videos. It records the timestamp, the user who performed the action, and the type of activity including opening a playlist, viewing a page, playing or recording a video, and performing searches (including searches with no results). You can also see where

The activity feed shows you the following details:

  • The timestamp of the activity.

  • The type of activity performed on the video, such as:

    • Opening a playlist (play icon)

    • Playing a video (play icon)

    • Viewing a page (page icon)

    • Recording a video (clown icon)

    • Clinking an action link within the guidde (keyboard icon)

    • Performing a search

    • Conducting a search with no results

  • The user who carried out the activity.

  • The channels where the video is shared.

  • The URL that was played.

  • The percentage of the video viewed by that user.

Click into any activity icon to see more details.

Built-in Filters:

  • Date Range: Filter activities from the last 7 or 30 days.

  • Channels: Filter by a specific channel.

  • Entities: Filter by workspaces.

  • Member: Filter by specific viewers to see their activity.

  • Event: The type of activity performed, such as clicking an action, opening a playlist, viewing a page, or playing a video.

FAQ: Why do I see anonymous views in the Activity Feed?

To identify and track who watched your video, there are three types of viewers:

1. Logged-in user: A viewer signed in with a Guidde account or watching through your video portal.

2. Identified viewer: A viewer who isn’t logged in but can still be recognized through email parameters or workspace access.

3. Anonymous user: A viewer who isn’t logged in and can’t be identified when watching a public or embedded Guidde.
