How to Add Interactions (action items) to Your Guiddes

Give viewers control over what they watch, and turn your content into an interactive journey.

1. When in the video editor, choose the step in which you want to open the interactions menu.

2. Click the Interactions section on the left side panel of the video editor to begin.

Click on "Actions"

3. You can choose to add a single action, or multiple actions. In this example we'll show how to add multiple actions.

4. Click Add next to your preferred option.

Single Action is available on: All Plans

Multiple Actions is available on: Business and Enterprise plans

5. Click on the pencil icon to edit the first action item.

6. Name the first action item, and then choose where you'd like it to lead the viewer. You can choose between (All these options exist for a single action as well):

  • Skipping to a specific step in your guidde

  • Jump to a different Guidde

  • Navigate to an external link.

7. Choose Go to step to see a dropdown of all steps in the current video. Select one to have the action direct the viewer to that step.

8. Select the Go to video option to link to another Guidde. Start typing the video name and choose it from the dropdown list. When viewers click this option, they will be taken to the selected video in the same browser tab.

Add External Link

9. Choose the External link option and paste a link to any webpage. The viewer who clicks on this action item will see this page open in a new tab on their browser.

10. Click Update in the bottom-right corner of the action panel to save your changes after adding each action item.

11. Add another action item by selecting Add Action Item below the item you’ve already added. You can add up to six actions.

12. Click Apply at the top right corner of the actions preview.

13. Delete the action items from the video step by clicking Delete at the top right.

14. You can always review and edit your action items in the interactions section in the video editor.

Click "Review"

15. Save your changes by clicking Done when you've finished editing your guidde.

Click "Done"

16. Once saved, the Action dialog will pop up for viewers after the step has played.

Result

Note: Actions are not fully functional in the video editor and will become fully interactive after the video is published. To view and use them as intended, click Done to publish your guidde.
