Unable to select microphone when recording voiceover - Couldn't access microphone

When attempting to record a voice-over on Guidde, you might receive the following error "Couldn't access microphone" and/or your Microphone selection dropdown might appear like this:

In order to resolve this issue, Guidde will need to be allowed to record the Microphone on the browser settings.

How to allow Microphone permissions on Google Chrome

  1. Click on the Chrome 3-dots menu (located on the address bar)

  2. Select "Settings"

  3. Select "Privacy and Security"

  4. Locate "Guidde" and click on "app.guidde.co"

  5. Locate the Microphone dropdown and select "Allow"

  6. Refresh the Guidde browser tab

How to allow Microphone permissions on Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the Edge 3-dots menu (located on the address bar)

  2. Select "Settings"

  3. Select "Cookies and Site Permissions"

  4. Locate "https://app.guidde.co/" on the list and click the button next to it

  5. Locate the Microphone dropdown and select "Allow"

  6. Refresh the Guidde browser tab
