Relevant for: Enterprise plan
If you are using a Mac and trying to record "Window" or "Screen" using Guidde you may be experiencing:
The recording completes and all you see is a black screen.
Nothing happens when you click on record.
This has been identified for either Chrome on Big Sur OS / Edge on Monterey OS combinations, as well as with other screen recording tools besides Guidde.
This is not an issue if you are trying to record a tab.
To resolve for Chrome:
Open your Chrome browser
Click on the 3 dots on the top right and go to Settings -> Advance Settings -> System: chrome://settings/systemโ
Disable "Use hardware acceleration when available"
To resolve for Edge:
1.Open your Edge browser
2.Click on the 3 dots on the top right and go to Settings -> System and performance: edge://settings/systemโ
3.Disable "Use hardware acceleration when available"
