1. Accessing the Editor
To get started, navigate to the video you want to work on and click 'Edit video' to enter the editor.
2. Opening Version History Control
Next, click on the three-dot menu in the top right corner and select 'Version History' from the dropdown.
3. Exploring Past Versions
A side panel will open, displaying all published versions from the past two months. Each version includes the date and the name of the user who published it.
There’s no limit to the number of versions saved within the last two months, but versions older than two months are not accessible.
4. Previewing an Old Version
Click on any version to preview it in the bottom panel. This version is locked, meaning you can view it, but not edit it, until you choose to restore it.
5. Reviewing Steps in an Older Version
Browse through the steps of an older version in the bottom panel to review past edits and compare changes.
6. Restoring a Previous Version
When you find the version you want to bring back, click 'Restore this version' to replace the current one. Note that this will restore the entire version, not just the step you're currently on.
7. Confirming the Restoration
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click Restore to proceed or Cancel if you change your mind.
8. Editing the Restored Version
Once restored, the editor will open with the chosen version, allowing you to pick up where you left off and make further edits.
Don’t worry, your previously published version is now saved in the Older Versions list, so you can always restore it if needed.
Now you can confidently manage and restore your video edits with Version History Control.
