How to Create a New Guidde from Scratch

Create a Guidde from scratch—without screen recording or click capture. Manually build your guidde by adding steps, visuals, and content to craft a tailored, structured step-by-step experience.

1. To get started, click the New button at the top right of your Guidde homepage.

2. Select New Guidde to begin.

3. Select the aspect ratio for your guidde:

  • Landscape: 1920 x 1080. Perfect for desktop walkthroughs, screen recordings, and existing content (default).

  • Standard: 1440 x 1080: For iPad viewing, presentation style content, legacy app documentation.

  • Portrait: 1080 x 1920: Great for mobile-first content, social media repurposing, in-app mobile guiddes.

  • Tablet Portrait: 1080 x 1440: Optimal for iPad portrait viewing, mobile first content with more vertical space.

4. Click Apply to set your preferred aspect ratio.

Note: Once a guidde is created, its aspect ratio is fixed to ensure a consistent viewing experience

5. A new Guidde is generated and opens in the Video Editor, with a ready-made cover and ending step to get you started. From here, you can add steps and visuals, record a voiceover for each step, and fine-tune every detail to create your ideal step-by-step content.
