How it Works
Guidde Broadcast delivers dynamic, personalized content directly in your browser-based applications, ensuring users receive content suited to their current workflow.
The Broadcast application contains two main tabs:
Home Tab: Displays a personalized content playlist based on the user’s current context within the application.
Search Tab: Allows users to search for specific content within the application and across the entire Guidde library.
Home Tab
The Broadcast Home tab creates a personalized content playlist based on the user’s current context, such as the application they are using and their specific location within it. For example, if a user is on Salesforce → Dashboards vs. Salesforce → Accounts, Broadcast generates different playlists based on URL patterns.
Content recommendation priority follows this order:
Exact URL Matches: Matches between the page URL and the content URL are given the highest priority and immediately displayed.
Playlist Matches: Curated playlists relevant to the user's context, maintaining continuity in the learning path.
Partial URL Matches: Broader matches based on similar page structures, offering more generalized content.
Creation Date: New content is prioritized and displayed before older content in the playlist.
Upon a user's first interaction with an application in the Broadcast domain, the playlist will automatically start playing in muted mode. It continues playing through the videos unless paused. When the user navigates to a different page within the app, a new playlist is curated and begins playing automatically. If the user clicks the "X" on the Broadcast widget, it minimizes to the bottom right and remembers its last state.
Search Tab
Beyond content recommendations, Guidde Broadcast offers a powerful search feature within its application.
Expanding the Broadcast widget and selecting the Search tab displays a search bar along with categorized content relevant to the application the user is using.
For example, when searching in Salesforce, categories like “Reports” and “Creation” may be displayed:
Clicking a category reveals all related videos and the total number of videos under that category, making it easy to find relevant content. The user can then scroll down and choose a video to view from the options available:
Users can also perform a direct search across their entire accessible Guidde library, including non-Broadcast spaces. Searches consider a Guidde’s title, transcript, tags, and description to surface the most relevant results.
In this example, the search is for the word "trigger" and the prioritized results are videos that are relevant for the application the user is currently using, "Klayiyo":
In the search results, if a video includes the search term in its transcript, the corresponding timestamp is displayed. By clicking on the timestamp, users can jump directly to the point in the video where the term is mentioned, saving time and providing immediate access to the relevant content.
When there's no timestamp, the video will start playing from the beginning when clicked.
