Sync Voiceover Text with Captions and Document Description

Learn how to sync the voiceover with captions and document description.

Keep your captions and document descriptions in sync with your latest voiceover edits. Whether you're using Text to Voice or recording your own narration, you can ensure your subtitles and documents are always up-to-date with the most recent transcript changes.

When text is added to the voiceover:

Generate captions from your Guidde’s voiceover text by checking "Sync voiceover text with: Captions"

Captions preview:



Select "Sync voiceover text with: Document description" to update the Document description (aka step-by-step document under the video when in a view mode) with the latest transcript text.

When you edit an existing voiceover


Apply to Captions

By checking the sync captions option, the captions will be re-generated according to the updated voiceover, overriding the current captions.

Apply to Document Description

Checking the sync document description option will update the description (in view mode) to match the latest voiceover transcript, replacing the previous description.


Checkboxes are ON by default, but you can uncheck them if you don't want to sync the voiceover text of a step with Captions and Document. The state of the checkboxes is saved for each step.
