Introduction

Guidde offers a unique method of adding voiceovers to your how-to videos. Instead of recording audio on the fly while capturing your video, we offer the option of adding audio voiceovers with minimal effort and friction in editing. Record your own voice for personalization, or use our Text to Voice feature to create 🤯 videos.

Adding Audio Voiceovers

1. While editing a step click on the "Voiceover" button to add a voiceover to the step:

2. Select the relevant language (we will auto-transcribe the record based on the selected language).

3. Select the microphone device used for recording

4. Click the red "Record" button to start recording:

5. Click "Stop" to stop the recording or "Restart" if you wish to record it again

6. Once stopped, you can play, restart or delete the recording

7. Click "Add Recording" to add it to the step:

8. Once added, we will automatically transcribe the recording for you, and an avatar element with your picture will be added to the step:

The transcript can be edited, and the avatar can be moved/resized or deleted if preferred.

Adding Text to Voice

Guidde supports 13 languages and over 100 natural-sounding voices, enabling you to select a voice that suits your needs based on gender and accent.

1. While editing a step click on the "Voiceover" button to add a voiceover to the step:

2. Click on the "Text to Voice" tab

3. Select the desired language

4. Select a Speaker voice
Note: you can click the play button next to the name of the voice to hear a preview

5. Type in your text to voice in the "Transcript" text box:

6. Click on "Add Voiceover" to generate the voiceover

7. You can click the "Play" button to hear the generated audio, make changes using the "Edit Voiceover" button, or delete using the trash-bin icon:

8. An avatar with the selected voice photo will also be added. The avatar can be resized, moved, or deleted based on your preference.
